It has been a very busy six weeks preparing for the upcoming exhibition with my fellow artists, The5Collective. This Friday will see the long-awaited exhibition of ‘Lightscape’ opening at the Heseltine Gallery (Truro school), we have an open invite to the private view so come along between 4 and 7pm to meet the artists and absorb the art. 29th April –  15th May 10am – 4pm (weekends only).

With this set of paintings, I have challenged myself by working on larger scale pieces that have really questioned the process of surface, texture, layering, composition, and the journey within. As a creative I live for being outside and the inspiration for ‘Lightscape’ came during my marathon training last year pounding the clifftop paths, fields, and country lanes of Cornwall. ‘Booby’s Bay’ captures the Cornish spring storms, I really enjoyed tackling the power and movement of the surging sea using a variety of brushes and surface texture (56cm x 56cm sitting on a white tray frame).
